DH applied for his 1st NFCU CC yesterday and was approved for the Platinum @ $15K (the lowest interest rate possible). That started me down the path of wondering if I could get approved for a 3rd NFCU CC. After reading many posts on 3rd CC stats, I went ahead and took the plunge! Approved for $15K @ 14.99% on the Platinum card. Not the best APR but considering my profile, I consider this a win and my largest SL ever. Consider me an NFCU customer for life!
Approved for: $15K @ 14.99%
TU: 653 FICO8, 637 FICO9
NFCU member since April 2018
1st card - nRewards secured $1K, opened May 2018 --> graduated, CLI to $2K, and PC'd to cashRewards September 2018
2nd card - GOREWARDS $10K, opened August 2018
Something north of 12 inquiries in the last 12 months on my TU report
Incredibly dirty file
Reported income is $101K
Awesome approval, congrats! 🎉
Congrats! Nothing wrong with 15k!
Congratulations!
I'm assuming they pulled TU FICO9 but I'll have to wait until they send the "cost of credit" letter to confirm.
Wow, Navy is really generous! They seem to give out the best limits. Why can’t any “regular” banks/cards do that? Lol
Congrats on your 3rd NFCU card! Sweet SL too!

Awesome job 1985 Been wondering when we would see you on the other side Big congrats to DH as well. Never fret the apr. Mark your calendar for 1 year from today and you csn ask for an apr reductionEnjoy
Thanks and you better believe I'll be calling at the one 1yr mark on every card I have to reduce these APRs!! I've just accepted that the cost of rebuilding/establishing credit is expensive at this phase of my journey.
