I did send them an online message asking for a recon of the SL and I'm waiting for a reply.
The rep said they pull TU for new credit but EQ for CLI. So it might be 2 pulls anyways if I try to open 2nd card and ask for a CLI evenifit'sthesameday.

I was approved for their Platinum card at their best rate of 5.99%
My DTI ratio is very low (14%), my income is around 160K and they pulled TU which has a Fico8 score of 782.
The person who took my credit card app was somewhat shocked but said it probably had to do with being a brand new member.
I wanted to use this for a large BT since the card has no BT fees and 0% for 12 months.
I was actually hoping for about 10K
Would a Recon call be in order?
The consensus in this forum is that Navy is conservative with your first card, but not with your second.
So, if your recon is not successful, a reasonable strategy for you would be:
1. After 3 statements have cut, and 91 days have passed, apply for a credit limit increase.
2. If it's not enough then apply for a 2nd card.
3. The 2nd card is likely to have a much bigger limit. Then you call up and have some of that limit switched to your platinum card.
Congrats @raisemysc0re on the fantastic APR! It's always nice knowing you have a low APR card in the arsenal. This card will grow, getting the APR was the hard part - you're in!
Well, I recieved a reply to my Recon request...
Good News and Bad News.
Good news is that they did up my limit...
Bad news is that they did not up it to what I would've needed to make it worth it ($5,600)...
Overall I am still happy and will try to grow this card and develop a good relationship with them.

Congratulations on your recon CLI! Mark your calendar for 91/3 as mentioned up thread.
So, How does NFCU work in regards to combining cards and product changes.

My wife just called and did a PC with NFCU from Platinum to Flagship. The CSR explained you can PC 2x a year a day after receiving a card. As for combining cards maybe Someone can chime in. The forum does advocate a strong consensus on the 91/3 rule (3 statements/91 days) with positive results on CLI and 2nd card. There is a thread specific for that.
Congrats !

Congratulations on your NFCU Platinum recon CLI!
Congrats on the approval and recon!
From everything I've read, Navy seems like an absolute DREAM.
Too bad I'm not eligible for membership. *pouts*
