Woke up to about 10 emails from NFCU and a few missed calls. Long story short my account somehow became comprimised and someone attempted to clear out my accounts using zelle. During my process of getting my accounts closed and reopened i noticed my credit card limit on the cash reward card had been increased, thinking the worst while speaking with the account specialist i asked if that it was an automatic increase or an attempt by the person who got into my accounts, after some digging through logs the account specialist did confirm it was automatic and that no one attempted to gain extra credit on any of my accounts with NFCU.
limit change went from 16100 to 19400. these odd numbers drive me nuts.
*while typing this i just got an email from NFCU saying. Thank you for being a loyal Navy Federal member. Due to your excellent standing, we've increased the credit limit for your Navy Federal Credit Card ending in **** to $19,400. This new credit limit is effective immediately.
