Touche. I have said in other threads that these FICO scores are very much like a drug to some people. You dangle that carrot and someone will come a-runnin'. But I say I want more mostly in fun -- I was commited to spending the rest of the winter gardening but this I couldn't resist.

Achieving I feel the same way. I always want more!

Instead of thinking, "Ugh now I really really hate that I didn't think to ask for it before," think that your patience paid off -- BIG TIME!!!
Congratulations.
Ahhh, I'm on to you.

Well I'm nothing if not a realist, so I am ok with it being because I didn't think about it. There are just so many nuances to this rebuilding game. I'm learning there is probably nothing worse than being a perfectionist with no patience, ADHD and bad credit.
Amen...nail on the head...describes me well.
Wow! That's awesome!!
Congrats!
I would probably slow down a bit. You're opening up a bunch of new cards (even secured) which changes your AAoA and AoYA. If you aren't carrying a balance but show a 7% util then you should probably work on timing your payments a bit more so that you don't have a balance on whatever day NCFU reports. That'll help, altho anything under 8.9% is pretty good -- it will still contribute to your overall util. I personally would wait at least 90 days between opening accounts. I made the mistake of opening five Amex cards on the same day, duh, what a dumb move. I thought oh well, no more hard inquiries, get em while they're hot. Took me a year to recover from that.
Building credit is a waiting man's game, which really sucks because if anything I'm the most impatient person in the world - but slow and steady wins the race, it's a marathon not a sprint, etc etc.
