As the title says! Both approved! Myfico scores are 650-680. NFCU pulled my TU three times for this little adventure. My TU score is the lowest at 650. I have on all three CR's a paid collection that is about six years old, some slow pays about six years old and three charged off acounts about six years old. They will be eligible to be removed towards the end of this year which will be really nice! Now, on my TU, a fresh $1k collection popped up on January this year. I called the company who stated it's an old account that shouldn'ty have been reported and they will remove it. This was towards the end of February. It's still there but I went ahead and disputed it via TU in case they forget to remove it so hopefully that will fall off in a month or so.
I currently have a Fairwinds CC ($1500) for about 1.4 years, a Discover Secured ($1k) for 8 mos, Cap1QS1($300) for 4 mos and a PenFed ($2k) for about a month showing. I also have a small $4500 balance left on a $5k loan I took out on my car in November as well to help my score. I have 2% util as well. I PIF every month.
Now for the good stuff from NFCU. Mailed in my application via back door method last week and got the hit on TU today and called about an hour later and had them walk me through the online setup. From there I applied for the Cash Rewards Signature Visa and received an immediate approval for $14,300 SL at 15.49% interest. I was pumped! So, I headed over to apply for the CLOC next. I went ahead and asked for the full $15k and it went to review. They countered with $4k and proof of income which I already emailed. So, all in all a great day thanks to NFCU. My highest card limit was $2k from Penfed at this point
So, this ends my app spree for the week. Started with AMEX, then Chase and finished nicely with NFCU for an outstanding SL! Off to the garden for a long time now!!
Thanks!!
Congratulations on your double approvals!!
Congratulations. Take good care of these products and your other accounts and they will grow. Credit Addict has a thread on NFCU CLIs that we all follow, it has the best advice on how to make these accounts grow and when to add another NFCU CC. The other trick is if you have a spouse have them become a member also and have them apply for these products. Both my wife and I have CLOC at 15k and 2 cards each and are in the process of growing those second cards. NFCU is great to their members,so much so we do all of our banking with them now and don't even have a branch within 100 miles of where we live.
Well done! NFCU is outstanding!
