Hey All:
***EDIT: I was wrong I must have been half asleep when I applied. There is no 0% intro rate on this card. But I will take advantage of the sign up bonus and just pay off the card when I purchase the ring. Thanks for the catch!
It's been awhile since I've been on here, but wanted to share my surprising NFCU approval. It's been almost a year since my last CC approval, which as a 2nd US Bank Cash + cc.
So I was going to just pay cash, but saw that NFCU had their cash rewards with a SUB of spend $2500 and get $250 back. Sooooo I decided to apply. Some back story, I had two NFCU cards (cash rewards and platinum), both with a limit of $25000. I combined the two into my platinum for a total credit line of $50,000. Threw my app in this morning and not even 2 hours later, I was approved! Got the email and I was shocked to see that I was approved for $24,300 with an APR of 11.9%. I am really excited and surprised with this approval because I really thought I may have reached my limit with them.
Anyhow, I'm not really looking to apply for anything else until after the wedding. For DP, my TU score is 768, I think have 34 inq over three credit bureaus, my AAOA is 4 years and my income is mid $100k.
Outstanding SL! Congrats on that and the wedding! I would not be surprised if you'll be able to get max limit out of your cards with Navy and then some if you wanted other products.
Congratulations on your approval but are you sure about the 0% for 12? The only cards with an intro are the More Rewards with 1.99% for 6 months and the Platinum which has 0% for 12. I don’t want you to get hit with a nasty surprise so I would double check that.
I just got this card last month as well with 11.9% and $250 sub....but I don't see anything about 0% for 12 months. I just went on the site and don't see it either...

Oops you are absolutely correct. Thanks for that. Well I guess I will just charge the ring on it and PIF and get the $250 sign up bonus instead. But I do like the APR they gave me.

Thanks! Will probably put the brakes on for any more credit, but it was a surprising approval.

No problem, I had to do a double take when I saw it. That would be epic if they would give a $250 SUB and 12 months to pay it off. Congrats again! I love Navy Federal.
$24,300 with an APR of 11.9%
when I purchase the ring.
Congratulations (Twice)
