NFCU Flagship Approval

My wife applied for the NFCU Flagship credit card yesterday around noon.

She received a 24 hr review notice at that time.
She sent a PM this morning around 4 am stating
that she is really looking forward to getting approved for this card, so that she could use the points for her and her family to travel more often.

At around 3 pm today, she received a message thanking her for her previous message to them and that she has been approved for the Flagship card with
a SL of $10.100.00 and that she will receive her card within 5-7 buisness days.

Many people have told her that she wouldn't qualify for this card at first due to her thin file.

Thanks for everyone's help on her application !

Congrats to the Mrs.! NFCU has been amazing to work with, I am very happy with them. Do you have your own NFCU card or just the Mrs. so far?

She is the only NFCU member at this point.
I will be seeking membership at a later date !

I really think that her personal message to them pushed her over the top.

She stated in her message that she was excited about applying for and possibly receiving the card and that she really appreciated the opportunity to join Navy Federal, and also stated that she is really lookng forward to developing a long lasting relationship with them.

They pulled her TU on both her meblership and Flagship application.

TU was 764 at first pull.
No baddies.
One 30 day late that was 10 most old.
Cap1 secured w/ $200.00 limit.
AU on Lowes w/ $3500 limit.
Very thin file but very clean

Navy Federal really came through for her !
She is extremely happy about this approval.

Oh , just wondering you say she has a 30 date late that is 10 months, i assume you meant months) old?. If that is true, her profile isnt very clean,remember lates hurtas do baddies but obviously not hurting her too much with a 764

Sure.
That's why I stated the 30 day late which was
10 months old.
The rest of her file is very clean.
They didn't care about the one 30.

Awesome outcome for sure.

I'm really glad that she was approved for this card !

Congrats on your wife's Flagship approval. I'm curious as to why she applied for that card over the others offered by NFCU. As a holder of the Flagship I can tell you that points redemption is very low and there are many far better travel cards. About the only time that the Flagship is worth applying for is when they have a large signup bonus which I'm fairly sure isn't the case right now. I'd encourage her to PC it to one of the other cards as soon as she can. Just something to think about.
