You might have hit a limit they were willing to extend you based on your profile at the time.  A little more time may have increased the exposure limit they were willing to take on.

Typically that is correct. However I have seen nothing change as far as Income or profile, "Only Time"

In The NFCU Mega thread, and seen some people get approved, just by six months time passing. Just my two cents.

I believe @AverageJoesCredit , was one person that had run into max exposure and time changed it.
