I have been reading others posts about thier successes with NFCU. I've taken particular note of the generous credit lines granted for thier credit card products. So on the basis of my late father having been a retired naval officer I opened a savings account and applied for thier Platinum MC. Was approved for a 32K CL. Very impressive considering the relationship with them was literally mintues old when I applied. And the member service rep was great. I'm very impressed and grateful to this forum for the info that led to the decision to join and apply.
Credit History Summary(for those interested):
AAoA: 8 yr
Oldest Account: 16 yrs
Utilization: 16%
FICO Scores: EQ 782 TU 767 EP 754
Congrats! That is an awesome CL...

Fantastic initial CL, Grats
Wow! Congrats! Thanks for sharing.
Was your approval instant or did it have to be reviewed and later approved. What were your inquiries, utilization and scores? If you dont mind sharing?
Approval was instant, which I must admit took me by surprise. Before applying I had 2 inq on Equifax, 3 on Experian and 1 on TransUnion. I discussed what reports would be pulled with the member service rep, who was great. She said they would HP TU just to establish membership and HP Equifax for the credit card application. The other data you asked about can be found in the post that opened this thread. Let me know what your experience is if you apply. Thanks!
Congrats!!!
I've never heard of a new member getting a credit limit that high. Is your income in the six figures, if you don't mind me asking?
Yes, I count my blessings.
