Re: NFCU Secured Graduation @ 5 months

Thank you for your service as well, which branch were you in?

Yup I see only positives in the change to lowering the deposit amount from $500 —> $200, should help a lot of folks out. For me, I was needing to get out of the toy limits I was bucketed into, so using the one secured card to establish history with NFCU and then applying for a 2nd card with NFCU @ 91/3 worked out really well as I got a 15k approval and Im sure helped in getting the CLOC as well.

I am really happy though with the $2k limit on the non unsecured nRewards card, thinking of trying for a third card with NFCU in January or February.

@dtaild -

U.S. Army 10 years. White collar gov't civilian 15 years.

Retired after 25 years of combined federal service.

I'm so happy for your success, and I agree that Navy Fed

lowering the nRewards limit to $200 is going to help a lot more

people a lot faster. People have been clamoring for Navy Fed

to lower their secured card limit, and now they have responded.

This is a nice holiday gift and a great way for folks to start the

New Year on a high note as well. Smiley Very Happy
