NFCU approval then status update to under review - Update: Approved

Anyone every been approved by NFCU, only to get a follow up message that the application is being reviewed. I thought it was odd that the 'approval' did not contain a rate or cl, because that doesn't seem to be the norm based upon other approvals in the forums.

Long story short - Has anyone seen or heard of this? I have to assume this is a bad sign ...

Hmmm seems rather odd. When you submitted the application was an instant approval displayed?

IME, when an instant decision was made, the SL and APR is typically provided on the splash page.

Maybe others who have seen such anomaly can confirm.

No, it wasn’t instant. I received the approval text and email about an hour after submission. I hope it’s nothing - I’ve been waiting to patiently to get a Navy product.

Send them a secure message stating you received an email saying you were approved and you are following up RE SL and APR.

Navy can be slow in communication but if you got the text approval you should be approved. When i got my Plat back, i got the text but didnt see anything updated on my Navy page for a few days.

Check your email for the original secure message when it went to review, follow that link and log in again, your updated status, if any, will be there.

I sent a secure message as CreditInspired recommended.  I received a reply the next day that the application was approved and they provided me with the SL, which was very generous.  The account popped up in my list of accounts today and I was able to view the APR also.  As a rebuilder,  I could not be happier with my relationship with NFCU.  Thank you all for your insight and advice.

20k!! - Which is a feat, considering I’m a little more than 1yr post-BK13 discharge. I was fortunate enough to slip in through the backdoor with Navy before they changed their membership criteria. So far, everything everyone has said about them has been accurate. I love them and plan to be a member for life.
