Though I don't like it but I just applied for Quicksilver and instantly approved for $18,600. I know there are many NFCU fans in this forum, but I'm done with them, personally! It's not just about this credit card that drives me nuts!
If youre done then close it. I mean afterall you didnt get what you wanted right? I love it when people just cast Navy to the side when they "think" they will get what they "deserve" and dont get it. If you'd just relax a bit and give it 4 months of statements, your card would probably be at $25k. They are very good about CLI after 3-4 statements. I started with a $500 sl on a recon almost 3 years ago, and now at $22.5k. For my profile, I shouldnt even have half that limit!
If youre too impatient to wait a few months for a nice bump, then close it. Personally, Navy is great, and Im a "fan". All you have to do is send in a recon for the SL, and you'd probaly get it. They are recon friendly, but If I were you, I probably wouldnt have the attitude with them in the letter. Just simply state that you were "hoping for a little higher limit closer to what you have already", and see what they say.

I am curious as to why you applied for the Quicksilver if you don't like it.

As they mentioned earlier, no foreign transaction fees.

Didn't catch that about foreign transaction fees. Thanks.

NFCU can be bipolar with their SL, they gave me 13.3k with a 660 at the time? And my DW $3300 with her 782?? She got a better APR though. All you can do is give them a call and recon SL
Or as been suggested just sit things out for around 3-4 statement cuts and see how it goes on a CLI then.
OP you got further with CapOne than I ever did. They're the ones thats been in my wallet the longest, but they're also the ones that are getting thrown out of it too. They'd laugh at me for asking for 18K (my current card with them is 3500?) So I'm switching them out with NFCU (I got the platinum card because I prefered the lower rate)
For whatever reason some banks work well with some people than others. Maybe wait it out, you've already got the HP so, see where it gets you. If you still don't like the card after 6-12 months, then get rid of it.
