Navy CLI after second try

Reached 181 day mark on my Amex more rewards last month. I saw some dp of people asking for $8-9k in cli and having success so I was a bit trigger happy and asked for a credit limit of $10k on my $1.5k limit card. I missed that navy emailed asking I send in pay stubs and tax info etc etc and I was too lazy to do so. That request expired a few days ago so I tried for another cli yesterday and got bumped up $3,000. Was kicking around getting the flagship but working on increasing my Amex portfolio.

Don't be trigger happy like me! Glad they gave me a second chance.

Re: Navy CLI after second try

Congrats on your limit being increased!🎉

I've only been a member of Navy since July 15th. My mindest as it pertains to credit differs greatly from the majority, so, in spite of everything I had read on the boards regarding their cards and limits, I knew from the beginning that I was going to approach my relationship with them from a "slow and steady wins the race" angle.

I was approved for the cashRewards card right after I joined with a starting limit of $2,600. When my 91/3 is up next month, I'm requesting an additional twenty four hundred to bring me to five thousand, then when January rolls around, I'm going for the Flagship...which will pretty much be the last credit card I ever apply for.
