Well, after having savings and checking for about 3 months, I pulled the trigger and apped for the Cash Rewards. Approved for $3000 @ 12.49%. Was really hoping I'd be one of those with a big limit first card, but oh well. Now the waiting game begins for 91/3 and that second big limit card.
I used a post card ad link, navyfederal.org/adgetcash I received that had different terms than the default on the website. This one is the same $150 SUB but for only $2000 spend instead of $3000. It also has a 12 month 0% BT option, which I personally can't really use on just a 3k limit. There was a promo code on the card but I didn't have to type it in anywhere so I think this is a public link anyone can use.
Some data points: 2 new personal cards reporting in last 12/24 months; a new car lease in last 12 months; 8 inqs on TU, 12-15% util., 751 FICO 8 TU, 90K income, $200k+ total credit
