Just a FYI, I am a memeber of NFCU and I am not prior military. I was able to get in because I was a Defesne Contractor..memebership is open to those who are Govt employess or contractors supporting the Federal Govt!

If you want it quicker, find someone who is a memeber, or get someone in your family who is Govt or Govt Contractor to apply for membership... then they can sponser you for yours!

I stand corrected. Defense contractors work side by side

with our military personnel, and Navy Fed treats them exactly

the same when it comes to their membership requirements.

Eligible DOD personnel refers to govt civilians, defense contractors

and their family members. My apologies for the oversight.
