Navy Federal Amex approval

Some data points for you guys with a BK. I file chapter 7 BK Nov 2016. I was approved for Navy Federal Amex with a $500 SL. My overall utilization is at 68% which is probably why my SL is so low . Either way I'm excited. They pulled TU which my FICO 8 is 639.

No worries ...After 91 days and 3 statement cuts you will be eligible to ask for a credit line increase....You’ll be there in no time...plenty of time to get your utilization in check....

I got approved for my first navy card for $1,000 and a little over 91 days got a 2nd card with them with a limit of 20k your in good hands

Give it the 91/3, relieve the pressure of that pulsating UTIL, and that SL will move. It will likely boost that 639 TU pretty significantly as well. All really goes without saying though...

Congrats on the approval, as others stated, once the UTI comes down, scores will definitely go up. I believe you're about 3-4 thresholds so that could be anywhere 40-80 point loss. Once you're under 8%, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
