Navy Federal CLI Denial but 3rd Card Approved

I have 2 cards with NFCU @ $25k each. I read where some people were getting more than $25K so I hit the luv button on both cards on 16DEC19. It went "under review" I did not see any messages requesting pay stubs etc so I figured it was a denial. I apped and approved for a 3rd card $7,900 SL on the 22DEC19.

Today I received letters saying I was denied because: "You've reached Navy Federal's maximum unsecured credit limit". They pulled EQ SP on 03DEC19 with a score of 670 (range 334 to 818). My EQ is on ice as well. My F08 EQ score is slightly over 700 so this must be some other scoring model (perhaps F04?)

I have 2 issues with my denial:
1) I have seen others get more than $25,000 CL. Not a big deal because I was able to get the 3rd card.
2) They used a contraction "You've" My Grandmother came over on the boat from Scotland and she used perfect Queen's English. She raised us to NEVER use contractions. "Do not be lazy, write the entire word out." Na bi leisg in Gaelic.

Sorry about the CLI denials but this reason does not mean that $25K is the max Navy will allow on a single card -- it means that it is the max unsecured amount Navy will give *you at this time*.  It's temporary - your internal limit will increase with time (you just won't know when that happens unless you app again...).    I believe (unless this has changed recently) individual card max is $50K with exception of the Flagship which has a max of $80K; total max across all NFCU personal cards is $80K.

Congrats on the 3rd card.   Strange that you got the 3rd card so soon after being told you reached your max internal limit...
