Congrats on your approval there!
Very nice! I have my eye on this card when I join. NFCU.
@credit_is_crack wrote:I'd like a low APR card, a real one. Promotional intro-rates are awesome but I didn't have an actual low rate card so decided to take a stab at the Navy Platinum card. Submitted my app last night around 10p EST and got the message below
Figured it wouldn't be instant approval because of my current exposure with Navy ($15k CLOC, $59k Flagship), but I've been a member since 2008 with strong scores and a thick profile so I figured they'd at least take a look.
I'm not sure exactly what their total exposure guidelines are but I believe they are
- No more than $50k limit on Platinum, GoRewards, MoreRewards
- No more than $80k limit on Flagship
- No more than $80k across all Navy cards? (Not sure on this one but I've seen it around)
Considering the above I knew the most I could get, in a very perfect world, would be $21k, but I honestly was expecting a $1k-$4k approval because I really feel like I'm at my internal limit with them. Got my Approval text today @ 11a EST so gave them a buzz to get the details.
Navy Platinum Visa
- SL: $15,300
- APR: 8.24% (lowest available -- Woot-Woot!)
- CRA: TU HP, Fico9 797
- INQ<6mo: 5 -- Accts<6mo: 5
- INQ<12mo: 14 -- Accts<12mo: 11 (but 6 turn 1yr next month)
- Application: 24Hr pending review
This brings my Navy card exposure up to $74,300, and with my CLOC I'm up to $89,300 -- seems pretty steep to have in one spot, but they wouldn't have given it if I wasn't doing something right. Now I SERIOUSLY need to garden so no more apps this weekend
Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers out there!!
So awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! Navy Fed does it again!
Thanks @doint1!
@CreditMagic7 - you're right, this is a solid APR and stoked I nailed it. Wasn't sure if they'd let me have it but I guess it worked out, and with a SL I can use it with
@Remedios -- Yes!! I made it to Monday Let's see what else I stumble upon lol
Thanks @Saeren! I don't see too many respectable low APR's from lenders this large so I'm definitely pleased with this card.
Thanks @simplynoir and @Flex1!
@delaney1, its pretty attractive for a no frills card but the APR makes it outstanding!
This is new -- at least from Navy.
So looks like Navy took a page from Amex and gives you your card number online now..Got this random email from Navy today
I clicked the link and it prompted me to login and accept my terms (love seeing that 8.24% lol)
Then it went to this screen and actually showed me the info. Card number, CVV and EXP (of course assuming its all temp, but I didn't know Navy did this now)...nifty!
That’s interesting! They don’t even let you see your number on the app from what I can tell (BBVA lets you do that). They must want some dollars
Congratulations!
