This approval was certainly a nice milestone to obtain with them. As you can remember some years back 3rd card was almost unheard of to obtain, with only a few being able to actually breakthrough. 

Now their a little more liberal at handing it out just not with the astounding CL as we see from time to time. Again thanks my friend. 😉👍

Does the trifecta refer to certain cards or just any 3 navy cards?

I have:

Flagship $20,500

Go Rewards $20,000

More Rewards Amex $20,000

I was considering combing one into the flagship but really dont know if I should. I dont usually carry a balance so the platinum was not really on my list to apply for.

It refers to any 3 Navy Federal CU cards in your collection. Some have never aquired   the 3rd, many have. It's never a given with Navy.

I also combined my platinum into my Flagship to have a mega limit limit card. Although now I wish I would have kept the platinum if anything for the low apr. But, it's water under the bridge. Flagship can alos reach CL's as high as $80k so that would be something also to consider.
