Need Help Please on Apping AMEX Platinum UPDATE**

Ok fellow MF'ers, I need some advice - Pulled up one of my accounts and under "My credit and charge card offers" I now show the AMEX Plat! I really, really want this because we do quite a bit of travel and it's just to me the last real card I want.  The icing on the cake so to speak. 

Data points: Exp 744 - Equi 752 - TU 706 - AAoA: 8 years

I currently have 5 revolving lines with AMEX and one AMEX PRG with the revolving lines totaling $40,500.  $221,000 in annual income , 18% utilization on all cards.  Do you think I have a good chance that they'll approve me?

Added note: if you're going to get the Plat card I would try and see if you can get the 100k MR signup bonus to populate. The once in a lifetime rule will make getting this offer if you can much more important.

I applied last night and was approved!! I guess I was a little hesitant to apply again even though my scores were good because I already have so many AMEX cards that I’ve obtained in the last 5-6 months plus I had already applied ~ 3 months ago and was declined. I’m so excited!

Congrats!  The Plat comes up for me sometimes on the prequal page and I've been pondering it.  The Global Entry reimbursement is the biggie for me...the $175 for the 3 add'l cards would be easily offset by the Global Entry for the family.  The 5x MR points could be converted into oodles of SkyMiles.  Convincing my wife of the wisdom of a card with a big annual fee will be the trick...I see the value, I don't know that she does/will and the couch isn't all the comfortable.
