When I got my Navy CashRewards Visa back last summer, I was somewhat disconcerted to get only a $1,000 SL. Nonetheless, I buckled down and made active use of it across the fall and winter, particularly for grocery spend, with equally active payments. I decided to wait until 6 months/statement cuts since the general pattern is that CLI requests are more successful at that time. Once my March statement cut this morning, I figured it was time, since my last AR had been in February. I put in a request for the highest figure I thought I could reasonably get ($15,000) and sat back to wait.
I checked my account again about 3:30 this afternoon and saw that my CLI appeared to have been approved. While the credit limit itself hadn't yet been updated, the available credit had, so I checked back again a couple of hours later. Navy countered with a $2K CLI, bringing me to $3K. Not nearly as much as I'd wanted, but I'll take it since it moves this card well out of "toy limit" territory and I can try again in early September. I haven't gotten any notifications of a HP yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a SP but not holding my breath for it - I can afford a HP anyway since several HP's dropped off all three credit bureau reports over the past couple of months.
CONGRATS on the CLI!!!
You're making progress towards your Goal!
Congrats on your CLI!! I know it's not quite what you wanted, but 2K is nothing to scoff at. Based on the info in your siggy, you're doing extremely well in your post-BK rebuild.
Congrats on CLi !!!
Congrats on the NFCU CLI @Anonymous! Looks like you're inching upward and that's a good thing.
$15k or 2k. Its still a win. Congrats!!!
Congratulations on your CLI!
Nothing wrong with a 3x CLI on a probable SP. Congrats!
