I am new here so forgive the lack of signature line. I have lurked for many years. Anyway, I applied for the Chase Amazon Prime Signature a few weeks back (not long at all) and received a decline for 5/24, which wouldn't change for 4 more months. Because I just refinanced our mortgage and am sitting at 30 inquiries (I like to shop where my money goes), I figured one more wouldn't kill me and applied for the CSR with the full intent of getting declined and asking the reconsideration folks for specific guidance on approval to what I consider a top-tier card. I received a 7-10 day notice and the following day I called Chase. They asked me to verify ID because of an Equifax alert which required me to go into the branch on Tuesday. Today, Thursday, the CSR arrived via UPS with a SL of $14,200. I am thankful I did not get the Amazon Prime Signature because I am thrilled to have the CSR as my new daily driver. I can confidently say the AF will not be an issue with the use I plan on giving it. Anyone else get declined for a Signature card then approved a short time later for the Infinite?
My scores were 727 eq/ex, 739 TU with utilzation around 25% of 100k in revolving debt, plus a jumbo mortgage and modest car payment. Income is decent.
Congratulations on your approval!
Congrats on your CSR approval.
Are you by any chance a Chase customer via banking, mortgage or auto loan?
AU on a Chase Disney product with my wife as the primary. I banked with them for years ending about 5 years ago. Have been doing the credit union circuit since then.
Congratulations on your Chase Sapphire Reserve approval and nice SL!
Congrats on your CSR approval!
