So I burned Discover for $5,000 in 2015 after loosing my job. Since then, I opened up 6 credit card accounts and never missed one payment and almost always paid my cards in full and kept my utilization rate below 10%. I also took out 2 secured loans to diversify my portfolio.
Last week, the Discover chargeoff fell off my report being it's been 7 years.
I decided to check the pre-approval website and was offered the Discover It and travel card. I accepted and was approved for $3,000!!
I am honestly shocked they would let me in after burning them without repayment. But maybe they gave me a shot because of my high credit score and payment history.
