Friday was a good day for me. I'm generally new to credit. I started out with a Discover IT last August and got the Apple Card in October. I also randomly decided to get a Capital One Quciksilver, which I regret but that's another story.
Anyway I've been checking Amex's pre qualify page frequently since late last year but kept getting turned down. I figured this was because of a lack of FICO score. Finally got a FICO score last month so first decided to try my luck by messaging GS for an increase on my Apple Card. I got approved a few days later! Went from $1000 to $2000! Decided to try my luck with Amex to determine if I prequalified for anything and lo and behold I did. I chose the everyday card for its rewards. Amex approved it with a SL $4000! This makes it my card with the highest limit. After researching a bit more I realized I actually wanted the BCP but since it has a different reward structure and with Amex not allowing card type transfers with less than a year of use anyway, I decided to submit another app for the BCP. I got approved with a SL of $2000 brining my overall credit to $9300! Pretty good for a college student with less than a year of history I think.
