Hello Everyone Im new posting but have been reading a lot on how to improve my credit... I decided to post because I know this can help someone.
I got my first card 3 months ago Discover it secured for $500
Then after verifying identity Chase freedom $500 ( I bank with chase)
Then I was browsing overstock for new furniture and decided to apply for the card.... I got the 7-10 day message and thought I was denied.... Days after I received the letter on the mail asking for copy of my DL, SS card and proof of address.. I sent everything but didnt want to call again...
I went back to overstock.com and at the time of payment options it showed me the overstock card last four and I was like Whoaa! so I checked My cards on my overstock account and there it was with a $250 limit lol
I decided to call and waited for a representative, told him i was shopping for a dining set and everything i liked was online but the $250 would only get me a lamp... he asked how much i wanted i said I dont know, the set i like is $1300 he approved me for $1050...
Tonight I decided to call the automated system to see if i can find out my account number to reguster online but i couldnt so after some time of listening the option I said credit line increase, asked for my income and congratulated me my new CL is $1850
Im not going to be able to sleep tonight its been 3 months only
btw my tu 650 eq 622 .. and discover it shows FICO 746.... I started at 550
Congrats to you!
Hope you got some sleep!
Make sure to not purchase anything that truly isnt a need.
And then PIF or make all payments on time.
Try your best to not pay ANY interest.
Your scores will climb fast!

Congrats. If Discover is giving you a 746 TU thats your real score, looks like you are using Credit Karma for your orher scores, which is good to monitor your reports, the scores not so much .
My congratulations to OP as well, especially on being able to score two CLI's so soon and so rapidly - and a note, Discover's FICO 8 score may not necessarily be the absolute latest based on when it pulls because they only do so once a month (for me, at the end/beginning of the month): I suspect my own TU is actually a few points higher than the 667 Disco pulled on the 28th due to all my paydown/payoff activity and new accounts.
Congratulations on the card and the CLI! Make a purchase, pay for it and then request a CLI. It will be a soft pull (SP) if you do NOT check off OK for a HP (hard pull).
I did haha! Thank you for the advise!
The $250 lamp was an exhageration to help with the CLI...
I'm actually downsizing and purchased a set because it was $500 cheaper after all the discounts, I put $700 on it makes me nervous but Im waiting for the packages to arrive (already on their way) then I'll pay it off

I think what you say is true because CreditKarma gave me a score that was more then 30 poins lower than a fico I received for amex card which i got denied for limited credit history :/ dont judge me :
Thank you!

I haven't even received the card yet but Ive read that when you create an account online they do a CLI as well, Ill pay it off as soon as my set is delivered and make much smaller purchases this time..
