I was recently and pleasantly surprised with an auto CLI on my Capital One Platinum 'Credit Steps'...from $300 to $2300! I've only had the card since October 2013 and was told the maximum increase by the 7th statement would only be $200 -- for a total credit line of $500. So what a surprise!

Today I decided to request that card be pc'd to a QS.....APPROVED via online chat! The new card, cashback and no APR benefits start in 7-10 days.

If you have 'Credit Steps' use the card almost up to the max and pay it off 100% by the statement cut date. Do this every month for 4 statements and you may get an early surprise too!  Smiley Happy

Thanks for sharing! I got both of my cards upgraded to Quicksilver One cards using your strategy! Unfortunately, Capital One won't give me much CLI love. I went from $750 to $1250 on both a couple of months ago, and they won't budge.

Thanks for all of the "congrats!"

...on a different note...I wonder if my original QS will get an auto CLI (it's not a credit steps card)? Anyone have the QS MC and get an auto CLI, if so how much and when?
