Hello all, 15 months ago I was in credit hell for over 30 yrs, I gave up trying and I didn’t understand how credit worked and the few times I did get it I messed up by listening to bad advice... then I found this forum lurked and read for a long time then in Sept 2017 because of advice from here, I walked into my bank and talked to account rep .. I said I have been at this bank for 6 years, is there anyway you can help me get a credit card. She looked up my stuff sent in request and it got denied, she looked at my face I guess defeat was all over it and she said don’t worry I have your back, I will help you, I will talk to the underwriters myself and 3 weeks later after I gave up again and stopped thinking about it she left me a voicemail saying congratulations You have been approved for $1,000 starting limit on PNC points Visa.
Since then I have worked hard to rebuild... I am on my way and today I got a CLI of 3K now my limit is 4K that is a miracle to me!
when approved I had a $98 balance from last month ...and total of $248 owed on card so far this month.
And it was a soft pull! Again because of this forum I waited until my FICO score updated on PNC site.

Congrats on the CLI! It's great that PNC has that SP increase option now. You can give it another whirl in 6 months.
