Data points on CLs for those who have a PNC credit card (or maybe looking to get one).
I have a PNC Core Card. I don't use it (it doesn't earn any rewards), but I wanted at least one card with my main bank that was connected to my account so I reached for this one.
Opened Dec 2018 with a 3k Limit.
Auto increase to 5k August 2018.
Auto increase to 7.5k Febuary 2019.
Auto increase to 10k September 2019.
I haven't really done anything with the card but put a few puchases on it now and then. I've put around $750 in spend on the card over the past year. Otherwise it sits in the dark corner of my wallet.
Also do you have to have an account in order to apply.
Do they pull EX.
They're not a relationship bank. Just a normal bank in the somewhat eastern side of the country. You do not need an account with PNC in order to pick up their credit cards.
I'm pretty sure they did pull EX, but that Inquiry is not on my report anymore so I'm not 100% sure.
Congrats! I have this card as they're my prime banking institution and got it as a way to BT. I got a nice increase early this year and due for another one in next month. Hopefully I'll have the same luck as you!
