Hello! I've been getting, what feels like, weekly USPS mail from PenFed "inviting" me to apply for their Power Cash Rewards card. I filed for Chapter 7 BK, discharged June 2016. I had an auto loan with PenFed from May 2017 until May 2019 ($34K loan @ 3.5% for 72 months). Since May of 2019, I have not done any business with the CU. My only account with them is a savings account with about $100 that was deposited into the account because I overpaid when I paid off the loan. I read on another post that when PenFed was ready to offer a card that it would show up in the bottom right corner of the account screen. I never got this promotion, so I never applied, until yesterday. Despite not seeing the promotion I decided to apply anyways. I went through the quick steps of applying and pressed submit. After about 10-15 seconds the application timed-out and I just exited the screen and assumed I'd get a letter in the mail telling me I'd been denied. I checked my email about 30 minutes later and found that I had actually been instantly approved for $17,600.
Equifax Data Points at time of application:
Fico 8 Bankcard Score :688
Fico 8 Score: 686
Number of inquiries: 0
AAoA: 5 years 8 months
AoOA: 13years 1 month
Utilization 19%
