After applying for multiple business cards lately and one personal, I decided to start a relationship with PenFed before I applied for several other cards. I applied for membership with just a savings account on April 1 and was approved but, then, after reading here about their credit card approvals, I decided to apply for the PenFed Platinum Rewards Visa Signature on April 8 and was instantly approved for $12,500 at 16.99% with a 0% offer on balance transfer until the end of September! I was concerned I might be denied due to recent inquiries but apparently that was not too much of an issue but did probably push my interest rate higher than it would have been. I did also add an Access America checking account which I do not need for this card but could use to get the best reward rates on future cards and will just do a $500 direct deposit each month to avoid the fees. PenFed pulled EQ which was 828 at time of application. I'm looking forward to getting some fuel rewards and learning how PenFed operates!
