Penfed is one of the stingiest on aprs no matter what your score imo.
Congratulations on your PenFed approval and nice SL!
Congratulations on your approval.
I was approved in Feb with a TU 09 of 713 with a 15.49% APR. I don't know if you consider this a similar score.
However, my TU 09 is now 727 and APR is still 15.49% (though I haven't requested, yet other lenders have lowered it automatically for me).
CONGRATS @DebtStinks on your PenFed VISA approval and the AWESOME SL!!
Congratulations with your approval!!
I had no idea what my APR was, so I checked. 16.74% with scores in my sig line.
Congrats on your approval!
@DebtStinks wrote:I'm thankful for the approval, but considering the starting APR is 7.49% (I received 15.49%) and the score they pulled for me is 724, I thought I'd get somewhere in the 10% APR range...
I'm thankful for the 15k starting credit line, but wondering if the APR is in line with others who have similar scores pulled by PenFed. Granted, I know I have a CH7 BK just shy of 3 years old, but flawless profile since filing BK.
Any insight is appreciated!
Btw, I was told by a representative that ALL credit card applications are going into manual review right now...so don't be upset when you don't get an automated approval while doing your application.
All credit card apps go into manual review now?? man makes me think I should of applied! About 3 days ago, DearWife and my best friend apped for the PenFed Gold card, and both got $17,500 SL at 15.49%, their FICO 9 scores in PenFed where around 670, I was so tempted to try to app, so I can do a balance transfer but decided to hold off for NavyFed next month, but they were instantly approved, even for the same amount and APR%, it got me really curious... if PenFed eased up the last month or so, becuase when I tried to do a CLI for my PenFed 1.5% cash card from $7,000 (SL), they deneid me....
BOOM! Congrats on the approval and GREAT sl!
Like others have said, don't worry about the APR much right now... likely the BK, just PIF and in a year, ask them for a reduction!
