Been delaying some credit line increases, so since I've completed the mortgage and can tidy up some loose ends.
I apped for a Penfed 1+ year ago, maybe 2, denied first time for "pyramiding." Applied 6 months later for minimum $1,000 to get foot in door and was approved.
Just called in right now for an increase over phone. I asked what is the increase amount to not trigger a hard inquiry. She said all increases trigger a hard increase. I said, ok, what's the maximum limit, she said $25,000. I said, ok then, let's do $25,000. I asked what they pull, she said Equifax. She went offline for a few minutes, said I was approved! Paperwork for the increase approval will be mailed to me, it's not available by e-signing. Cross that off my bucket list.
Boom! Well done!
Congrats....Penfed Next year.
