My Penfed visa signature card just aged a year now so thought of applying for another CLI request, which ended up in a hard pull and went into pending mode last night. Thought i may have wasted another credit inquiry. Called them this morning and they started verifying my report and at the end said my request was approved and the new limit is increased from 5K to 12K. Handling the card well paid off finally.

I've had no luck with PenFed CLIs, gave up requesting after wasting 2 HPs and figured I'd wait til my card reached 1 year old too (currently at 8 months and haven't used the card at all in 3 months out of spite.. lol)...

Good luck to you. Yes i wasted HPs in past too. Then used the card heavily in international trips because of the no foreign transaction fees on it and paid it off right after statement cut. But i agree they are strict. I just applied for pathfinder card now since it will use the same HP. Let's see what happens.
