How do you get 2%?
Essentially you become an Honors Advantage Member (which then qualifies you to receive the 2% rate) by: 1) Opening an Access America checking account or 2) Are a current/former member of the military. If you go the checking route, then you need a daily balance or monthly direct deposit of $500 or more to avoid the monthly fee.

Member since 05/30/2019..... Opened checking account on 07/24/2019 along with overdraft protection. They did do a HP. I was approved for $500 and requested $5000 for overdraft. He approved me on the spot.
