Pnc declined then approved

Never applying for anything online again. After being declined online, I reapplied next day in branch and approved for 5k. Fico 8's in the 640's.

Congrats, but can I ask why you would apply for a card you were declined for the very next day?

I went in to ask why it was declined. I've had accounts with them for over a decade.

It's been said that PNC highly prefers a banking relationship when approving card accounts.

Yes they prefer a relationship which is a good thing in my opinion.

I really would like to have that new cash rewards, but unfortunately, i'm not in Pitt anymore and cant get to a branch to work on building that relationship.

Absolutely agree with you.  Much better odds applying in person than online.  There are many examples of this.
