I applied to be a member a little over a year ago.  I don't remember what affiliation I used. I applied for a Promise a month or so after joining and they denied me. I did a recon and the approved a $1000 promise with about an 18% APR.  I rarely used it and always paid in full.  I watched the NG score go up over 100 points in a year then I applied  for the new card a few days ago and got an instant approval.  I also keep about $100 in the share account so I don't think it requires anything too special.

That's certainly not a usual SL but they are great!
