I am so excited! I took the risk, after some encouragement from my friend on a similar financial rehabiliation journey, and app'd for the card. I went through Capital One's pre-qualified site, and I was approved for a regular platinum card with the suggestion to apply for Quicksilver. As you can see from my signature, my scores are not the best, but this honestly has started off my month on the right foot. I got started off with a $500 cl which I will absolutely cherish, because I was terrified of even applying for a card as of this time last year. In the past 10 months, I have managed to add a card from Merrick Bank and now this Quicksilver. Things like this are exciting to me because of how much I didn't respect my credit in the past.
Congrats on the approval. It can grow fairly quickly with you if you handle it right. You should be able to get a CLI after 60-70 days, and another at about 6 months with credit steps
Nice approval, javonnj! You're doing a great job on your rebuild, and your scores will continue to rise! Treat your cards well, and you'll see some wonderful results! Very happy for you today!

+1
Congrats, I started my rebuild the summer of 2014 with scores worse than you and a SL of 300 from a Cap One Platinum card and recently surpassed 100k in cc limits and scores in the upper 600's pushing for 700's when my IRS lien comes off soon. I owe it all to the great folks here providing information on how to deal with old baddies and how to build a foundation of credit. It takes some time but it is well worth it. I suggest to everyone to build a relationship with one of the good credit unions, they will reward you greatly.
Way to go! Congrats on your new CC!
Congrats on your approval...it's exciting huh...I know the feeling..keep up the good work!!
