Re: Quicksilver CLI! Capitol One is full of it

Sounds like they are too paranoid right now.  That's no way to treat a customer with that much positive history.

Congrats on your CLI!! Cards with SL of $300-$500 will always be bucketed. Don't put a lot of time in growing the limit.

Re: Quicksilver CLI! Capitol One is full of it

Thanks guys!  I will probably keep the card but I won't ever use it seriously again now that I have better cards.  It will be in the sock drawer permanently with an automatic netflix charge every month.

Re: Quicksilver CLI! Capitol One is full of it

Yeah they seem to be staking a claim to the rebuilding market. Not giving increases to profiles with drastic improvement and better cards simply means the spend will go to the better cards. And once you qualify for those, you're usually unwilling to take a triple HP for something that grows less and offers rewards that don't stack up against those higher-limit, better rewarding cards that were granted with fewer pulls.

But go ahead CapOne, you do you. Most of us will be over there, using cards from other lenders.

Re: Quicksilver CLI!

Yea I opened my capital one platinum card in mid 2015 with a 300 credit limit. It's grown to 4,000 credit limit and graduated to the QS within 5 years. It sucks, but you'll keep getting bumps, anyways congrats! Remember this is a marathon.

Re: Quicksilver CLI!

Yep, Cap One is really stingy when it comes to CLI's. I've about given up on them to be honest. If they weren't one of my oldest lines, I'd consider closing them.
