How much does pre-approval weigh when applying for a card?

Had to call due to address verification(I just moved), however I was approved with $2k limit, My FICO is approx. 710 and AAoA is 11 months with my only other card being the Discover IT with a $2750 limit, not bad for 18 years old. Thanks for the help, it's much appreciated!
