Thanks man. I still cant believe it. I want to total up my closed accounts just to see my theoritical total credit achieved just for giggles. Maybe ill add that stat in my next post, been holding off a couple days waiting for something to come in that blew me away. Its crazy how sone lenders can give you the brush off with nary a chsnce to prove oneself yet others will reward you for good credit habits. Stay tuned 😆
@AverageJoesCredit You're welcome and you are soooooo right! Will be on the lookout for your next updates!👀👀👀

What an awesome story! I enjoyed reading it and you give me such hope that it is all possible with hard work. Congrats on reaching $300k! I hope to someday get there and I think that I have a good start now, if I just keep going...
Talking about weird SL's...
I have a Fingerhut Account that has a credit limit of $4592.
My Navy Flagship is now at $23,300 and started at $17,300.
I would get rid if the Fingerhut account in a second but it is 11.5 years old and I am afraid it will bring my score as well as my AAoA down quite a bit. I don't know but I don't want to find out. Lol.
I wish you MUCH continued success in your credit journey and hope to hear about your future successes. Thank you.

Thank you @RealEstateGuy89 . I too began from humble beginings...Fingerhut, on both credit journeys. Ill never bad talk them as i knew what they offered when i signed up but of course i know alot more this go around. Your limit is pretty amazing in itself and having it open 11+ years is mindboggling lol. I will say were you to close it your credit age would not suffer as it will continue to report on your reports up to 10 years or more. Mine is still reporting. I closed mine when they started the buy this for a permanent cli game and once i was able to get better cards, i moved on , fondly of course. Also, shouldnt hurt your score unless it affects your utilization. Honestly if it were open that long id let them close it when they want to lol.
Hope you enjoy your Navy FS. That has lots of growth potential. Thanks again for kind words, hopefully my journey csn still get better😊 AJC
@AverageJoesCredit wrote:Well what can i say? This approval might be my happiest of the last 7 years that ive been rebuilding my credit. Went bk back in 07 but didnt start rebuilding until maybe 8 /9 years after due to not knowing you could get credit after bk discharge. Duh!
So Sunday i decided to try again for a cc from my local bank of 20+ years Banco Popular. Ive been blacklisted hard since bk, harder than Amex, Citi etc, and they were the only FI i could not get back in with. Mind you, their cards arent great but rhat wasnt the point. To get back in not only would complete my rebuild but maybe open up avenues for other help if i ever needed , ie loans etc ( i hope) ive wasted many a hp to get zilch lol.
Filled in app, which went smoothly. Monday morning received a hp on TU and a phone call about 9 :30 am. I usually dont pick up #s i dont know but since i know i applied for credit could be them. Verified some personal info, i have a fraud alert, and somewhere in that convo, i heard approved.uhm what? APPROVED. Limit is $1700 but i dont care ( with my current debt im suprised not to get $200 haha) lol Mission accomplished😊
Card is on the way woo hoo , already in my home account. Comes with a 6 month 1.99 apr purchase promo and $50 SUB for $1k spend in 3 months. Earns 1.5 % cashback. Meh, but not the point haha!. Everyone knows i was short $76 to break $300k in credit and with this approval that pushes me to $301,624 in credit available. When i got off the phone my coworker asked why i was so giddy, i just said Im BACK ....with a bank im not too fond of lol. Thanks everybody been quite the journey. AJC
Additional dps. 756 TU 15 hps Woo-hoo! That's great! BPPR here as we both know is very picky, don't know why as they are far from even being somewhat competitive 😂. Congrats on your back-in and 300K breakthrough! I hope to get there in my journey!
CONGRATULATIONS on reaching an INCREDIBLE milestone!!!
