On my quest, looking for low APR/BT cards with no fees, I stumbled on a local CU, SECU. Checked out their product and saw there were no fees for BT or cash advance (I do see that often) and went for it, along with the required membership ofcourse. I was afriad with all of my recent activities (app spree) they would turn me away for the usual - too many new account/inquiries,etc.
Submitted the application for the rewards visa - which goes thru a manual review with UW. Took a hit on EQ - which is my lowest score to date. They contacted me a couple of days later with an approval. $25K SL and their lowest APR of 13.74% - which is not the best but not the worst. The loan specialist also informed me that I can apply for other products with the same HP within 30 days. So, I went for the PLOC as well. max on this was $30K so I asked for $15K. 2 days later, that came back approved with an APR of $13.74 a well. I was quite pleased.
Stats on the card:
$25K SL
25,000 point SUB for $2K spend
3x points on dining, travel, Amazon and iTunes
2x points on gas and groceries
No balance transfer, annual, or cash advance fees ever!
I definitely need to change into my overalls and hit the garden...I know, I keep saying that after a new account but I honestly believe I have everything I need at the moment. I'm also going to consolidate a few lines as well. I feel it's needed.
On another note, I also closed out that NFCU card with the $500 SL I recently got approved for. I have 2 cards and a PLOC with them currently ($74K total exposure) so I'm good there.

Congrats on your new card and PLOC there!
That looks like a great prospect of another CU to look into for some positive results.
(geo-restrictions availability of course)
Big Congrats! on taking the chance and using the effort to even reach out for the nice PLOC as well.
Perfect choice at the right time. Nice SL's
Thanks! I'm thrilled my app spree didn't ward them off. I think I've accumulated 8 INQs within the last couple of weeks.
