Shopping Cart Trick April-2018 Results!!!

I am new to the forum and had been reading since the 1st of April. April 11th, I had decided to try the shopping cart trick, as I am rebuilding and at the time was only an AU on hubby account and one other credit card from capital one of my own. I've learned a few things. This method for me wasn’t 100% certain, of course, but I was hoping that I would have had success like so many others.

Here we go -SCT Timeline
April 11th Boscov’s Pre-Approval- SL-1000
April 13th Pier 1- Pre-Approval -SL-1250
April 28th Pottery Barn Pre-Approval-SL- 1125

Okay here is where it gets interesting
April 12th Boscov’s CLI- 3000 per Robo Lady(Now 4,000)
April 14th Pier 1-CLI-4000 per Robo Lady( Now 5250)
April 29th Pottery Barn- CLI- 4000 per Robo Lady (Now 5125)

This was more than exciting and I couldn’t wait to celebrate 🎉. In the meantime, I was checking my email and noticed my account linked to my credit karma had not synced since April 3rd. So I synchronized it and low and behold sitting in my inbox were not one but three “someone has checked your credit” 🤦‍♀️! For the record, the pop-up’s requested only the last 4 of my SS excluding Pottery Barn. Geesh, 3 new inquires on Equifax and on the exact same days of the acceptances 🤷‍♀️. Hmmm, the only thing that keep me sane were the new CL’s though my score from Equifax dropped 3 points so far.
Please be aware that the SCT may not work as it has in the past. I hope this helps.

Just to confirm, the shoping cart trick is NO LONGER just a soft pull on TU but rather now a HARD PULL on Equifax?   I have never heard of this except when the SCT was used to receive a Visa or Mastercard and not a retail store card.

I’m not saying it “NO” longer works but in my case, I r’cd 3 new inquiries on Equifax. To each its own I’d say however, for me I didn’t work in my favor as far as a SP is concerned. 😞

@CH-7-Rebuilding

How do I attach pictures on the forum to help validate my claim? I’m using my iPhone.

Grats!

You sure the HP's weren't from the CLI's?  I noticed the other day I had a few HP's on EQ, spread out a few months back around the times I did some 'check box' and/or robo lady CLI's on a couple of my cards.
