Well, I hope I can help those of you with problems getting a bank of america card.
I recently apped for the 1 2 3 cash card and was flat out declined. Called the backdoor number and they stated that the main reason was an excess amount of inquiries (25). They pulled experian for those that are interested. Spoke to 1 rep, sorry we can't help, 2nd rep same answer, 3rd rep same answer, etc. etc. etc. 9th rep and badabing got approved witth 12,500 credit limit. So for those of you getting frustrated. Keep calling and calling and calling until someone says yes! Granted I have no baddies and a lot of credit avail. to me, YMMV but the point is, don't give up and make sure you write down each reps name so you don't speak to the same person twice! Now that would be quite embarassing!

Yea, I tried the same with Barclays for the ring card (They're much more strict about inquiries for sure!) and on the 4th call one lady says " You have spoken to numerous of my colleagues and the answer is still no", now that wasn't what I wanted to hear!
