Hi all,
I've received a lot of helpful information from other people's experiences published in this forum in the past, so I thought I'd share my own experience.
I applied for and received my Chase Freedom card this June with a credit limit of $3400. This was my second credit card (after a CapitalOne secured card with a limit of $800). My credit score is around 720. I use this card rather heavily, but always pay off the balance in full.
Today I couldn't understand why my available credit was larger than my credit limit. Turns out it was because I received a $1500 suprise CLI on my Freedom card! Not sure what prompted this CLI -- I didn't ask for one. I did update my income information recently to reflect an extremely small increase in my annual income.
Just wanted to let people know that Chase Freedom CLIs do happen sometimes!
Welcome to the forums and congrats! Most likely the combination of heavy use, paying in full, and updating the income triggered the automatic increase. That is a unicorn for a lot of us, though.
As already stated, congrats on the Unicorn CLI!
Thanks! I'm still pretty excited about it, haha
Congratulations on your CLI and welcome to the forums!
Congratulations!
AutoCLIs are soooo nice.
Good for you! I've had mine for eight months and no CLI. Lots of usage and PIF every month. Guess I'll see what happens in February when its raise time.
Congrats! I do love the surprise of Chase CLIs.
