When I ask for a CLI for PayPal Credit and the Amazon Store Card by hitting their online "luv" button, do they do a soft pull or a hard pull?
For Amazon, it was a soft pull for me when I requested one last month. I just did one last night for my Rooms to Go account (Sychrony Bank also), and that was also a SP.
My Lowe's CLIs have been SPs and most reports here are that a SP is the typical way for Synchrony. As always, expect a HP so you're not surprised if it does happen, no matter how rare it may be, and be happy when it turns out to be a SP. Nothing in credit is guaranteed.

I have multiple Synch cards. Never been a HP .. and I have smashed the CLI button mant times.

Same here. I currently have 2 Synch accounts, and both have been SP's every time I've hit the luv button. I don't always get an approval but they been SP every time.
Since You guys made me feel pretty sure Syncrony would only do a soft pull I decided to go for it. I just got approved for a CLI from 2200 to 5K on my Amazon Store Card and from 3500 to 5K on my PayPal Credit Account! And no hard pulls were done- no messages from any credit bureaus about an inquiry. Thanks guys!
Always soft pulls for me with Synchrony, just got luv with Amazon and PP last week.
