Joe... used to be the Motorola "Card" until Google bought Motorola... Search threads on the Motorola Card and you'll get the back ground on the "Google-Phone-Card"

 Congratulations! The Google Pixel is a great phone. My daughter has the XL and I wish I would have waited another minute and got that instead of the S7 Edge. Her camera is fantastic!

I've been thinking about applying for this card. I applied for Motorola, I think, and was denied. I just apped and was approved for an Old Navy card, at the time I was approved for $1000, but my statement just came and they increased it to $1800. 

I'm not sure if applying for two Synchrony Bank cards back to back will get me an automatic denial though.

Well I applied for this card and got it for a limit of $1500 and then I apped and got the Paypal cashback card that is also through Synchrony and got a $3000 limit on it and this was just a week or so after getting the google card.

Probably not, but just watch out for the Blue envelope.

Not saying it would happen. Just to be cautious as Synch is a strange beast.

No, you won't get an automatic denial for applying back to back. I applied for the Marvel and Walmart minutes apart. Called Synchrony afterwards and asked for increases on both. Walmart gave me an increase but Marvel denied. Waited 3 statements and requested for the Marvel to be bumped up.
