It has been quite the last 18 months...
Approved for my Discover IT card in Feb of 2015. I enjoyed many of the $1,000 CLIs during the craze when Discover was handing them out every 16 days.
Since then the time frame between CLIs has increased. Every CLI that I ask for ends up going into a 2 day review - but more often than not if I wait at least a month between increases, I get a hefty amount (4k-6k).
Well today I checked and I just got another 6k CLI bringing my total credit limit on that card to $44,000. Unreal. When I was approved for this card 18 months ago, I had a SL of $3,500 and the highest APR they offered (FICOs were around 650 then). Now it is my highest limit, and when my 0% promo APR ran out, they reduced my APR by 6%.
I only use this card for the 5% categories and the Discover deals, but it is definitely ALWAYS in my wallet regardless since they treat me well.
Congrats! That's great to hear! I started with a 1600 and have moved to $3200 in six months. Not quite as drastic as you, but I am just now learning that I can ask every 31 days. Thanks for the info!!
That is tremendous growth! Congrats! I've only managed to walk the CL up from $5K to $8500, but I did get the APR lowered by 4%. You've definitely done well by Discover.
wanna hear my Bk rebuild Discover story>?, since 4/15 from 800-1300-1700 today or within last week anyways, always denials on CLI's. this was auto for some reason
Congrats OP.

I started with $1,000 with no score, then to $2,500 at 6 months, auto-CLI to $3,500 after 1 year, now $19,000 (2.5 year old card). I don't think they can give me more with my income. I applied for the new Chase card instead.
I have the similar story with Discover.

Many posters report results after the third statement cuts, or 91 days.
Discover just raised my limit from $5800 to $8300, received an email about it. Pretty surprising considering they recently approved a CLI for me.
