@Themanwhocan wrote:This morning I signed into my paypal account, after reading on doctorofcredit that someone had received an offer for the Paypal Mastercard 2% card by doing that. Sure enough, i was targeted, and applied. The card was granted, but all I know so far is the temporary limit of $250.
This evening I read that someone had received a nice CLI from Target. I had received an auto CLI from them last month for $500, bringing my Target REDcard limit to $2,100 but I signed in anyways to check my limit. It is now at $7000 !
Today has been an interesting day...
PS: I opened the Target REDcard on 12/14/2015
Congrats on approval and CLI! I wouldn't mind that offer. I have PayPal Credit, but I hear you won't be able to add additional PayPal-branded credit products until next month.
Congrats! I tried chatting with the Paypal / Sychrony people to see if they can convert my card. They said NO Oh well, I guess the card will remain the drawer and will only be used on eBay purchases. Other than that, my card really does suck! The monetary value of the points almost makes the card worthless.

Was the previous card also issued by Synchrony?

yeah... It started out as a Synchrony issued store card, then converted over to the mastercard version which earns points. The card conversion kinda messed me up since they created a new account, which reflected a new open date. Additionally, I lost the option to defer interest on large purchases.
I dont think Ive ever read about a $7k Target before. Congrats
I applied for the PayPal Cashback MasterCard early Monday, and just before noon today (Thursday) I received an alert from wallethub.com that a new credit card was on my report. So, I now know that Paypal is reporting an $8000 credit limit, even though when I sign into Paypal it still displays $250, and I believe it will stay that way until I receive and activate the card.
Just thought I'd mention an alternate way to determine the credit limit, without having to wait at least 7-10 days.
Wow, nice Target limit! I just got a CLI up to $6,500 and I have had this card since 2007. Officially jelly

Try letting your balance report each month before paying it off, that seems to work for some of us. And of course, occasionally update your Income online, even if it hasn't changed.
