So, I'm doing the shopping today and realized I forgot the DH's Target red card (he has the debit version). We've never bothered getting a second card because usually we're together when we are shopping. I didn't want to lose that sweet 5% off so I jumped out of the garden and apped for their credit card. I got a tiny little $500 starting limit, but I'm sure I can get the limit to grow. The DH is going to cancel his version and I'll just add him to my card. I was surprised to get approval as I'm still rebuilding and my scores are in the 620s-640s. I did just have a collection baddie get removed so I'm sure that helped in my approval.
I can tell you feel guilty about leaving the garden since you “announced” it there before here! LOL
Congrats on the approval. Took 14 years and several lenders owning this account before I got a CLI, but thanks to this forum I know that some combination of using it monthly, letting the balance report on the statement, paying in full, and updating income every single month even if it’s the same seems to be working with TD Bank.

After giving this a second read, I think a formal inquiry is needed. First “a piece of the fence broke” and you “fell,” now you say you jumped out. Shenanigans!

much congrats to you on your approval! Its been 6 months since my last CLI with them, and Im getting super impatient, LOL..Ive done everything too....PIF before statement cuts, use the card monthly, let a big balance report, let a small balance report, etc.....nada yet
