I originally had a red card issued back in 1998 with a $300 limit, never could get a CLI.
In February 2012 I defaulted on the card and it charged off. As I've mentioned in other post's I settled for less than owed in 2018 (and it was removed from my reports 60 days later).
I have applied for this card several times since settling, as recently as January 2020 all denied for "Number of inquiries" and "Number of recently opened accounts".
Last night I tried again, definitely haven't allowed enough time for my inquiry count to change much if any at all. To my surprise, instant approval for $500 and it gave me my card number so I could add it to my shopping cart right away. Appears they pulled Equifax.
